Paynific

Privacy notice

Last updated 11 October 2026

This notice explains what personal information Paynific collects, why, and your rights. If you have a question, email hello@paynific.com.

What we collect

  • Your email address, used to create your account and send you sign-in links.
  • Your name, and optionally your mobile number and town, so we can set up and support your account.
  • Your rent details: the amount, due date and property address.
  • Your landlord’s name, optional email and bank details, so we can pay your rent to them.
  • Which card type you plan to pay with, and how you heard about us.
  • Technical information needed to keep your session secure, such as sign-in cookies.

We don’t collect your card number. When card payments go live, card details will be entered directly into our payment partner’s secure system.

Why we use it

  • To provide the service you asked for: your account and rent setup (contract, or steps before entering one).
  • To keep the service secure and prevent fraud (legitimate interests and legal obligations).
  • To tell you about rewards and partner offers, only if you opt in (consent). You can withdraw consent at any time.

Who we share it with

  • Supabase, which hosts our database in London, and our website hosting provider.
  • Our email provider, to send sign-in links and service messages.
  • When payments go live, our FCA-authorised payment partner, who will process card payments and pay your landlord.

We don’t sell your information. Rewards partners don’t receive your personal details unless you choose to redeem an offer with them.

How long we keep it

We keep your account information while your account is open. If you delete your account, we delete your details, rent setup and your landlord’s bank details. Once card payments are live, we may need to keep payment records for longer to meet legal requirements, and we’ll update this notice to say so.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, object to how we use it, or withdraw marketing consent. You can delete your account yourself from your account page. If you’re unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes

We’ll update this notice before card payments go live, and tell you about any important changes by email.
